LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL, by Lanie Robertson, recounts Billie Holiday’s life story through the songs that made her famous. Through her poignant voice and moving songs, one of the greatest jazz singers of all time shares her loves and her losses. Audra McDonald won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. Our production will feature internationally renowned singer/actress Mardra Thomas and the incomparable jazz pianist Reggie Thomas; they will grace our stage with one of the most exquisite and haunting performances of the year.
